Hobby Headquarters was started by Marlon and Derrick on July 1st 2003 in a smaller location within the same Oak Knolls shopping center. It was the only hobby shop in the north San Luis Obispo county area. Working six days a week, both partners, took care of their customers watching their business grow for 3 years. With the seams of the shop about to burst, Derrick and Marlon decided to move into a bigger, much needed, space. The new location allowed for the offering of more products for newly stocked hobbies such as paintball, airstoft, and boats along with a great selection of some of the best r/c support products available. 

Marlon and Derrick understand the "sickness" that makes you stay up till 4am working on a remote control car. This is why Hobby Headquarters(H.H.Q.) chooses its products carefully. The work of finding out which products are "lemons", is done for you. Products are proven for durability and notes are taken for which parts may need to be stocked. Hobby Headquarters wants you to have the best experience possible with your choice.
